SHEILA!!!

well here she finally is. The video is , again, a little long. It's about 20 min. but it is worth watching all the way through....obviously :) And don't worry we didn't leave cloye out, she's in the video too. As an update, Sheila is about 40 lbs and 18 weeks old. She is currently going to puppy classes and absolutely loves it and is definitely the smartest and most well behaved dog there. hehe. Not much else to say, Rachel and I are doing great, both staying busy. Rachel has been doing lots of crafty things around the house, making things, decorating, making things to decorate with. hope you all enjoy. ALOHA!!

THE SHARK ENCOUNTER!!!

Here it is, finally. Let me start by thanking everyone for your patience, for some reason everything went wrong while trying to finish this video. It is finally done!! So Rachel and I went swimming with sharks with Hawaii Shark Encounters here on Oahu. It was awesome to say the least. The sharks you will see on the video are Sandbar Sharks and Galapagos Sharks. The group that went out before us saw 2 tiger sharks, which is a real treat and apparently very rare. Oh well maybe we'll see one next time. As for watching the video, if you are prone to motion sickness you might want to take some dramamine....seriously it was really rough out there on the north shore and just watching the video might make you queezy, but suprisingly Rachel didn't get the least bit sick the entire time. The video is kind of long, but there are some pretty sweet shots. ENJOY!!!!!

Rachel's weekend trip to Maui!!!!

The first part of our weekend we spent just seeing the island, snorkeling, swimming and just relaxing on the beaches. Day 2 is when we planned to go on the Road to Hana. This is a famous drive that goes by the breathtaking waterfalls and gorgeous landscapes. Well unforunately it was the dry season, we only saw one!!!! Most of the 52 mile journey was winding, one laned and next to the drop off into the ocean. As you will see in the video, I come face to face with a truck on a oneway bridge. He won, I had to back up off the bridge. The one waterfall that we did see, we were able to go swimming, well thought about swimming, the water was very very cold. ( as cold as the water in feb. in the swimming pool back home, dad dared me 20$ to jump in...... of course I did it. Dad stopped playing that game, I charge too much now:):) Ok back to Hana, the day was planned to only take "a couple of hours", well we arrived back at our hotel 12hours later!! I couldn't help but to be a little disappointed and very tired. Overall I 'm glad that I went and did experience the one waterfall that Hana had to offer us.

Happy Birthday Nathan!!!!!!

I just wanted to put together a little video so you all at home could see our birthday celebration for Nathan. It wasn't anything special, just the girls and us at home. Nathan was very happy about the computer chair that I got him, and the clothes that our parents got him. Everything fits good except for one pair of shorts. Ofcourse the video is kinds long as usual but I wanted it to be like you all were there with us. This is the first celebration that we have had here in Hawaii away from our family and friends, Nathan and I appriciated all the calls from home. Aloha:)

The newest addition to our family is FINALLY here!!!

From Welcome to our life.

As most of you know Nathan and I have been talking about getting a Great Dane for awhile now, well, Shelia has arrived!!!!When Shelia, "the baby", came home she was only 6weeks old and already weighed 3x as much as Cloye, Shelia weighed in at 10lbs. It has been an adjustment for all of us now that we have a new puppy. Nathan has been a good daddy, he gets up in the middle of the night to take her out and shovels up her mounds of poop when she goes. I am very glad that my 3lb baby will never leave a 3lb mound behind:)Cloye was very jealous at first but then soon realized that Shelia was here to stay. Cloye seems to enjoy tormenting Shelia because Cloye is faster and can pretend to be hurt to get Shelia in trouble. Poor Shelia still is learning how to balance, run, and lick (kiss without biting). She still hasn't figured out that her tail will always be following her, and her paws are not chew toys. I have put together a video of all the "firsts", first night home, bath and beach. Her first night home she did not want to leave Nathan's side, I don't think that she had ever seen anything like Cloye, a wined up toy that would not stop moving or stop barking. Shelia did good with her first bath, she had been with all her 10 brothers and sisters, so needless to say she did not smell very good. And lastly we took her to the beach for the first time, she seemed to "kinda" enjoy it. We plan to take her often to get her used to the water. Unfortunately, we have to wait awhile for Shelia to get all her shots. Just a little background, Shelia is expected to weigh at least 150lbs full grown and stand about 6feet tall on her hind legs. She is called a Brindle due to her coloring, well that is all I know about that, ask Nathan if you have any more questions. oh yea and Cloye is expected to weigh 3lbs full grown and stands about 10 inches on her hind legs:):):)

Finally the tour of our house:)

Yes finally the tour of the house is here and posted. Well since Nathan has tons of homework every night, I will be taking over the blog. So I must apologize in advance for the bad spelling and poor grammar, like I have said before, I am not a writer. This was my first video that I put together and published all by myself. This might not be as good as Nathan's blogs and mine are kinda long, but I hope that you still enjoy them. I spent my last day off cleaning and videoing, well you will see in the video. I don't think there is anything that I left out. And yes, a special thanks to the mothers and aunt that sent the boxes, they have finally all arrived.

My girl loves me so.

Rachel is an excellent cook. She has gotten that way in a very short period of time with the help of advice, natural instinct, and of course practice. LOTS of practice beacause let's face it, when you live with me, ya get to know food. So here is a little video of Rachel making an absolutely delicious pot pie all from scratch. Yes it was delicious....it didn't look "traditional" but hey I can't complain.

Our Waterproof Camera Case is Here!!!!

It's finally here. We've been snorkeling at every corner of the island, we've seen fish, sea turtles, coral, you name it. We haven't been able to share any of it with you guys because we were waiting for our camera case. It's the one thing we have been talking about on an almost daily basis. So the box containing the camera case arrived yesterday and when I got home from class we packed up and went straight to the beach. We didn't have the time or energy to make it a full snorkeling trip so we just went to one of our dog beaches called San Souci Beach. As you will see Cloye is geting braver and braver each time we take her out to the beach. The underwater visibility wasn't good yesterday, but I did manage to chase a fish for a couple of seconds. Rachel starts work this weekend, but we will try and make it out to the north shore very soon. The clarity and amount of wildlife are much better than where we went yesterday.
